Kira said she wanted her own armwarmers, so I made her a pair last night!! All I did was cast on 29 and then alternated one row knit and one row pearl until I had a long rectangle. Then I just sewed the sides together and left a hole in one spot towards one end for her thumb! I was able to do it pretty quickly and made the 2nd one while we watched some Dollhouse and other shows...

I thought I would post some pics of the green scarf and the new scarf I'm working on.
Please ignore the mess on my desk -- Its about 2 feet I think. I ran out of the green yarn =( and haven't been able to find it at Hobby Lobby or Wal-Mart -- just need time to get to Michael's. So this project has taken a back seat while I'm looking for yarn...
Kira wanted a scarf, so I started working on this one for her. It is also about 2 feet long so far.
and here is an up close of the yarn we picked out and the pattern its making.
Its pretty fun to do =)

Two funny quotes from this Christmas:
On Christmas morning Kira was going through her stocking and pulled out a jump rope and said "I didn't order this from Santa!"
Kira's little 2 year old cousin asked her grandmother on Christmas " Do you have any beer?"

I have had the same head ache for over 24 hours. I can't get rid of it. Its not my traditional head ache. Its more of this pain behind my ear, lower side on my neck on the right hand side. It shoots pain up my head causing the head ache. I've taken advil, motrin, stuff for migrains and the last of the super awesome pain meds I had for emergencies only -- nothing.
Its a constant pain that I can sometimes ignore but then it gets worse. Like right now its hurting more. I can't figure it out... Now a few years ago I had an ear ache on that side and it turned out to be sinuses. I'm going to try some sinus stuff and see if that will clear it up.
Be praying for me - maybe a good night sleep will help. But I need to go to bed for that to happen and here it is 11:40 pm... ya, going to bed!

This morning I was getting the kids ready for school. As I was helping Kira get her PJs off she announced that she had to go potty and took off to bathroom.
I finished helping Caed getting ready and noticed that Kira had been in the bathroom for awhile. I called to her reminding her that we needed to get going and didn't hear anything back. I got side tracked again with Caed - making sure I had his snack and all that great stuff.
It had been about 10 mins since Kira went into the bathroom and she still wasn't out. I went to check on her, getting a little concerned that she might be sick. I find her in the bathroom playing - she has her step stool in front of her with different items on it and she is acting something out with them. When I asked what she is doing, she just smiled and said "talking to myself..." It was like her own little stage with pennies for people! Oh what to do with this little girl!!

I'm writing this in a little annoyed mood, so I'm going to try to keep from sounding a little jerky.
I'm just annoyed right now with being made fun of. What makes it worse is that I'm being made fun of by other geeks. That's right, the geeks are turning on me! So I think these geeks need a little reminder on what it means to be a real geek!!!
I mean seriously, the non-geeks are tending to deal with geeks better than the geeks do!
First, I think we all need to remember, there is NO judgment in geekdom. We have been judged over and over again for the things we like, so we don't need it here. We all know we are a little weird for going over board for what we love, but we embrace it. Its what makes us who we are. Besides, what does judging do???
There is no hierarchy - my geekdom is no better than your geekdom. I will admit there are things that I feel everyone need to see and I will try on some level to expose you to those, but I save that for the very awesome of awesome things (like Dr. Horrible for example - PURE awesomeness!!!) BUT I also realize that there are things that only myself and few friends will actually like and I don't push those onto other people (Twilight for example). You can try to convince yourself all you want that being a transformer geek or a buffy geek is better or cooler than other geekdoms, but in the end, you are still a GEEK!
Finally, just because I say something about my geekdom, it doesn't give you permission to piss all over it. It is especially true when the pisser is the one who started it. Lets use it in an example shall we... Pisser comes up to Twilight Geek and says "Hey, so what does your shirt mean?" Twilight Geek "Oh, this is my homemade Team Edward shirt. Its from Twilight" Pisser "Oh Twilight is sooooo dumb. I can't believe you read that crap. I mean shiny vampires???...on and on and on" Its like the pissers are looking for a fight or something. Its on a level of bully. If I make you look lower than I am better.
OK, done with the rant.
